
2023 summer program
Momentum Tutoring is so excited to kick off our Summer 2023 program! We will be offering academic and extra-curricular elective workshops this summer for grades K-12! Students and parents can choose as many workshops as they want! Academic workshops will meet Monday through Thursday, and electives will only meet twice a week.
When is the summer Program?

*There will be no workshops on July 4th due to the holiday

2:00-3:00 - 6 & Up Reading

Beginners Spanish (for K-2): M & W 2:00-3:00

Pk-K-1st- Letter Name/Sound/Word Families

Students will learn to identify letters, letter sounds, word families, and develop book skills such as tracking and early reading skills.

1st-2rd- Digraphs/Blends/Phonics/Spelling/Easy readers/sight words

Students will learn to read and spell digraphs/blends, read sight words, and read early phonics readers.

Comprehending 12pm-1pm

3-5th grade- Main Idea/Inference/Vocab/Fluency

Students will learn the skills to comprehend text by learning about the main idea, compare and contrast, plot structure and theme. Students will also work on developing their vocabulary and fluency.

Analyzing Complex Text

Students will learn to analyze poetry based on rhyme scheme, imagery, tone and metaphors.

They will practice grammar that is relevant to their age group.

Making a Sentence

K-2- Learning to Make a sentence and simple paragraphs

Students will learn the structure of a simple sentence and how to connect those sentences together to make a complete thought.

3-5- Learning to write a topic sentence

Students will learn the basic structure of a paragraph, focusing on a topic sentence, three detail sentences and a concluding sentence.

Writing an Essay 4 pm-5 pm

6-12th Learn to write a 5 paragraph essay

Students research colleges and universities as well as practice writing a 5 paragraph personal narrative essay.

Summer Pricing information
Minimum of two weeks required ( 2 weeks can be in any order)
1 Workshop = $120 per week
2 Workshops = $200 per week
3 Workshops = $240 per week
Elective = $40 per week
To secure your place a 10% deposit must be paid by June 19th.
Scholarships Available. Ask for more information.
*Momentum will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Tuesday 7/4/23. A price difference for the 3 day week will be reflected on invoices.
